Today I have picked a couple of stems of pussy willow and a few stems of Hellebores for a vase. The vase is a rather old bottle which one of my colleagues uncovered in the garden last year. He does not think that it is especially old but none the less it too has come from the garden. This little collection is for the boss who will have put it in the middle of her kitchen table.
Hellebores are at their best now and as the weather is rather mixed, it is nice to bring one or two blooms inside in order to admire their beauty at close quarters.

I love the idea of using a bottle that you have dug up for a vase. It is a lovely shape and sets of the gorgeous Hellebores beautifully. And pussy willow! That always means spring to me.
Thanks Chloris. A really Spring arrangement and it’s only February. I do try to recycle wherever I can! D.
Nice arrangement and well positioned in front of the wall which sets off the colours perfectly. Weather mixed here too, maybe I too should “save” some flowers and bring them in…
Save them!
I like that you noticed the dark black/grey backdrop of the workshop. I did think it would set off the flowers nicely but wondered if others might think it a bit shabby. They did end up in a very nice kitchen though. D.
