Finding worthy plant life to put in a vase or any other vessel is challenging at this time of year. I nearly failed to find something suitable and then I remembered the Violas.
These are at the base of my container grown olive tree, smiling through the window at me.
If you happen to have some violas in the garden, snip a few and bring them inside. These tiny micro petals generate a strength of scent which will most likely blow your socks off.
Heavenly.
The issue after cutting them is having a tiny enough necked vase to hold their heads up. So no vase this week rather a 500ml flask.

I adore violas but will have to wait for spring to see mine again….yours are lovely.
I think I shall have to start growing them, and what a good idea to have them in a pot below a shrub or tree. I am a keen on shrubs in pots in my small garden and this will be a nice addition. The little flowers are also beautiful in salads and on cakes too!
Who wouldn’t love a viola; they’re irristable!
Aren’t they just.
Sweet little faces. The frost is beginning to have its way with mine, sad to say.
Pretty! A good idea using the long- necked bottle too.
