Spring? Or spring? I wondered. Just in case …..
A spring of sorts, not exactly sure what sort, but a spring I dug up at my old garden. I guess it is off an old farm machine of some form. I rather like its coiled shape and dark rusty colour.
I placed it amongst the flowers in the raised bed containing Spring flowers of Lace cap primroses and dwarf daffodils. Covering all the options, job done.
Lace cap primroses picking up the dark rusty tones of the spring.
Today has been a beautiful sunny day. Alas the forecast is for rain over the next few days. I hope any precipitation will not dampen your spirits and you will have a lovely Easter.
Other “spring” ideas are available to view at https://daffodilwild.wordpress.com do take a look.
SO good!
Thank you !
Very clever of you, Dorris. 🙂 Love those primroses!
Thank you Eliza, thank you.
I just went online and ordered some – let’s hope they look as good as yours!
Ooooh
Exciting. Hope so!
I like both your spring and your spring.

I do love those gold- laced primroses although they don’ t last very well in my garden. They are a perfect match for your rusty spring. The only thing I ever find buried in my garden are Shipham fish paste jars. Someone must have really loved it, but why they buried the jars in the garden is a mystery.
Happy Easter Dorris.
Happy Easter to you Chloris. shiphams fish paste :I used to dread opening my lunchbox at school to have that smell hit my nostrils. Perhaps some school kid used to bury them to hide them from her Mother?!
Brilliant and great echoing of shapes and colours
Thanks!
Great photos, wonderful announcement of Spring
Thanks Denis
I admire your lacey primroses too but so far haven’t indulged (?) in any – they and and the narcissi are the perfect foil for the rusty spring ps had a goog giggle at Chloris’s Shippam paste jars!
me too, what a funny thing to dig up.
