First watering, Summer is on its way.
The succulents I have collected over the years have spent the Winter in a cool but bright room in the house. They have not been watered since the beginning of November.
Looking less than perfect, now the light levels are increasing, I will begin watering them every ten days or so. Then, once the risk of frost has passed, I shall put them outside. Sited against a south facing wall they will happily stay, sunning themselves.
Let’s hope for a hot dry Summer; we must be due one after such a wet Winter.
This is my end of month view which I am sharing as part of Helens meme https:// thepatientgardener.wordpress.com
Do take a look at some of the other end of month views, some of the gardens are looking beautiful. Dorris.
Another rite of spring!
I have left mine under some glass on the west side of the house, thanks for the reminder, I bet they are a bit thirsty, I’d better go and check right now.
With the exception of a jade plant and a little South African bulb, I don’t grow anything I have to overwinter indoors. My sempervivums stay outside all winter and laugh at the cold and snow. Here’s hoping your weather wishes come true. 🙂
Good morning! Like you I don’t really do house plants, a bit like birds in cages, just wrong. These are tender and really hate the wet or frosts so they get offered shelter. my sempervirens stay outside and generally survive. Jade plants are interesting and some say bring good luck, I hope yours is a lucky one.
I have succulent envy. Mine rot off and wither, yours always thrive. If you find one or two missing ……
Ha ha. Will find you some little ones to try again
