If you love flowers and plants
and I am guessing that perhaps you do, as this blog is pretty much only about these things, then there is one street to visit early on a Sunday morning:
From about 8am until 3pm on a Sunday the street fills with vendors of cut flowers, bedding plants, vegetable and herbs plants, and some more exotics, think giant palms.
The street is narrow and Victorian and the atmosphere is a lively mix of vendors calling out about their wares, tourists with their cameras and serious shoppers focused on getting the best for their money. The shops that line the street are interesting, quirky and independant.
Worth a visit next time you find yourself in London, just be sure to be there on a Sunday morning to see the street at its best.
52 week photo challenge this week is the word street. I am linking back to Sandra at https://daffodilwild.wordpress.com who is one of the hosts of this meme.

What fun! I’ ve always wanted to go to the Colombia Road Flower market but could never contrive to be there at 8 in the mornimg and Sunday rail travel always seems to involve buses.

You are right Sunday travel is a pain. I therefore suggest a weekend visit with overnight stay on a Saturday. Treat yourself!

Wonderful! We have a Saturday farmers’ market with a bit of everything…veg, mushrooms, organic meat, fresh seafood, cut flowers, plants, and even soaps and knitter’s wool. I think we pay a premium, though. Your prices look much better!

Hi Marian, your market sounds like a good place to browse.
