December is here and in readiness for Christmas I have today made a wreath with hydrangea heads snipped from the garden. These have been hung to dry over the last few weeks in preparation.
Based on a metal ring padded with moss and a covering of greenery, the flowers have been wired and secured in place.
A bit of silver ribbon and a few, silver and white small baubles, job done.
Hung up and ready for Christmas.
So beautiful!!!
Thank you Sandra. Been absent from here due to work and stuff. Thx for replying
🙂
That is so pretty and so different, I really like it a lot.
Thank you so much. Not completely my original idea but what is these days!
That is absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you Christina. For my boss so hopefully she’ll think the same thing.
How can you bare to give it away?
Yes I should have like to have kept it but the foliage and flowers are from the owners garden. It is always fun to make them so I took a few pictures instead. I am pleased the boss loved it.
That’s rather elegant. xx
Didn’t you know Flighty, elegant is my middle name 😉
It looks lovely Dorris! 🙂
Thank you Cathy
Very pretty, well done 🙂 I love doing decorations with hydrangea flowers. Colour fades quickly though and I wonder if there’s a way to preserve it?
Thanks Annette. I picked these while they still had colour and then dried them so I am hoping the colour may last a couple of weeks at least. Will report back!
Lovely, what a good idea to use hydrangea heads.
Thank you Chloris. Not an original idea on my part but I am pleased with the end result, certainly makes a change from holly and ivy.
Oh how pretty, Dorris – and almost makes me want to break with tradition… (see today’s IAVOM!)
I am off to look
What a good idea. I shall try this next year!
