And what are you going to do with all those beauties?
Hi Marian I shall freeze some, give some away and make a large batch of jam. I had no plums last year due to a late frost so I shall be relishing this crop as best I can.
Yum yum (until you are sick of them, I suppose!)
Ha yes something like that Cathy
So scrumptious! I had a bumper crop this year but most were attacked by maggotty things. 😦 any advice?
Oh gosh, wasps are my main issue. Might be worth conscientiously clearing all fruit and leaves away over the autumn and putting a grease band on in Winter. There are various fruit tree washes around to use but I prefer to not use anything that’s a chemical compound. Hopefully you still got a crop that you can use
Lucky you; last year I made an excellent chutney with plums, one of the nicest I’ve made. I’m pretty sure it was by Nigel Slater.
Ooh I shall see what I can find as there’s a limit to how much jam I shall want!
Nigel Slater also makes some lovely ginger cakes with plums in. I love plums!!!!
Omg that’s sounds too good
I adore plums, especially the sour ones. Plum jam and plum tarts – yum!
