espresso cup and saucer by Steven James potter Suffolk, garden pickings, in a vase on Monday, medicine bottle
A few flowers in the house are always a good thing, don’t you think? I guess so, unless you suffer from hay fever.
My two bunches are hopefully not going to make anyone sneeze. A hand-thrown espresso cup and saucer from Suffolk, in a soft dark denim hue contains a simple pick of Hydrangea, Ammi and Daucus.
Then as a complete contrast I have jewel colours in an old medicine bottle.
These are penstemon names unknown , grown from cuttings and Crocosmia Lucifer, Verbena bonariensis a couple of sweetpeas and a Dianthus. Orange and purple and pink.
I hope you have a few minutes to check the other Monday vases through Cathy our host.
Have a great week wherever you are. D.
Love the simplicity of the first vase especially – perfect for a bedroowm, very calming.
Thanks Sandra. Calming is a good thing I guess
Annabelle looks especially striking with the black cup and saucer, doesn’t she? Have you got visitors or are the posies for your benefit?
My school friend is here
Love a little floral touch, well done.
Thank you!
Oh, I do prefer the first one, both because it is white, and also because of the simplicity. Of course, the snappy second one is pretty sweet too.
Thanks Tony. I prefer the first too.
I love the all white. Annabelle is stunning, I don’t have enough blooms to pick. Always interesting to see what people are reading. I have the French version, ‘Dialogue avec mon Jardinier’ on my bookshelves but I haven’t read it yet. Did you enjoy it?
