This Summer is showing itself to be, dare I say it, good. Warm, dry and sunny. The garden this morning looked rather nice in the slightly cooler air and before the direct sun hit.

Rose Lark Ascending

Euphorbia Griffithii Dixter and drumstick Allium Sphaerocephalon

Hemerocallis and Helenium Moorheim Beauty, Verbena bonariensis

Hydrangea paniculata Limelight, Box and Shasta daisies, Leucanthemum x superbum

Whatever is making you smile today, enjoy it.

Right I am off to paint yet more wood. More about that another day as it is not making me smile.

allium, anthriscus, sweet sicely, Tuesdsy view

Today the wind has been blowing about a warming air,  full of dust. Not terribly nice and my eyes now feel almost gritty. Through these peepers the view in my garden is looking more colourful than a couple of weeks ago mainly thanks to the Geums.

There are geraniums in the foreground and allium heads almost ready to open. There is lots of fluffy white from the Anthriscus and Sweet Cicely.

Joining Cathy with my Tuesday view. It’s a fun way to track progress so do take a look at her blog.D.

In a vase on Monday: a bunch of Dutch flowers

allium, Delft, grasses and chrysanthium, Holland, Hydrangea with roses, in a vase on Monday, mixed bunch of flowers, ready tied

I have had a weekend in Delft, Holland to celebrate my sister’s birthday. We stayed in her friends house and to thank her for showing us where to bike hire, for sharing her local area with us and booking us on a canal trip with bubbly, we got her a bouquet for her vase.

Ready tied, at 9 Euros I liked the hydrangea with grass seed heads.

A token gesture.

A bit of a cheat on my part this week. Still I think it was pretty enough to share with Cathy at https://ramblinginthegarden.wordpress.com

Have a good week
