Tiny flowers

I sort of forgot it is Monday. Lockdown does that if we are not careful to keep focused. Joining Cathy who is clearly focused and knows it’s Monday and sharing a collection of flowers or foliage from the garden.

My tiny flowers are a white Viola, a couple of sprigs of Forget me nots, Pulmonaria flowers, Brunnera flowers from Dawson’s White and B macrophylla and a single piece of Anthriscus sylvestris or Cow parsley which is just beginning to open.

I have put them in a cut glass cream jug which I got from a bric-à-brac stall some years ago.

They are joined by some mini chocolate eggs.

It is Easter after all.

I hope you have a good week wherever you are. Thanks for reading and do stay safe. D.

A queer kind of Easter weekend for all of us under lockdown. For those without an outdoor space I really hope you are able to get outside for a walk.

As most people who are kind enough to look at this blog are garden lovers I guess you may have a garden of your own to enjoy. Tend your garden but do try not to spend all day working in it! (That is what I shall try to do, but well there is just so much to be done at this time of year).

Sharing tulip joy. Happy Easter. D.

Saturday smile: blushing.

You may possibly remember me showing you a fat pink bud from my camellia? in a vase? No? oh do please pay attention.

I should love to be able to tell you that the bud has opened to reveal its white centre. Alas not. After two weeks the bud had fattened up, then almost over night it just gave up and browned on the edges. Disappointing.

Outside however, despite the onslaught of the Beast from the east and incessant rain, this has revealed itself:

Somehow the pink buds have begun to open revealing this, a white flower, blushing.

Happy Easter to you, wherever you may be. D.
