I’ve heard about this evergreen clematis but have never been able to find it here. Some internet sources say it’s fragrant. If so, what is the perfume like?

I am staying in a place by the sea and this is growing in the courtyard. About 3x3m I read that if you bring it inside the scent can be enjoyed. I have to say Marian I can barely detect it. If I do I’ll let you know. Pretty though and the marking as lovely as they come

Thanks. I love winter-blooming plants and will keep looking for this one.

Not sure that I have ever smelled any fragrance with mine, but I love her all the same. Hope you are having a restful and enjoyable time at the seaside

Thanks Cathy, so nice to see the sea for the weekend. Re freckles I could not detect any scent and I wonder whether it needs warmth to happen? Anyway it is a cutie.
