Morning, this is a photograph which I took some couple of years ago now. I am not sure I really know what the contraption was used for, a groundsman could perhaps explain it to me.
The reason to post it here is to join in a 52 week photo challenge, hosted by Wild Daffodil https://daffodilwild.wordpress.com/photo-challenge
The photograph posted by the host is a lovely piece of vintage fabric, do take a look. I will try to join in with her challenge if I can make it from my predominantly plant and garden photographs.
Next week the photo prompt is Winter. That should be easy enough.

Intriguing! Could it be the frame of an old lawnmower with the roller at the back to create those crisp stripes some people love to have on their lawns. Looks ancient though. A hefty thing to push along. A fabulous ‘vintage’ photo.
I’m so thrilled you are joining us with your wonderful plant and garden photographs! Yippppppeeeeeee!!!!!!

Still dancing for joy! Cathy of Rambling in the Garden has joined in as well this week – especially joyful to be cross pollinating the ‘Vase on Monday’ and ‘Photo Challenge’ groups. Fab!

My grandfather has a barrel roller that you filled with water to even out the lawn. Soil compaction isn’t exactly healthy for the lawn however. 🙂 You never see those any more!
