How beautiful and unusual, is this the same one as used by florists that seems to last forever?
Hi Kate, I do not know exactly which Limonium this is or even if it is Common Sea Lavender. Locals seemed to refer to it as that but I have yet to be 100% certain. For this reason I do not think it is the same as that which florists use but I could be wrong!
So is it growing ‘wild’ in your garden or nearby? I don’t recognise it, from a florist’s bouquet or anywhere else!!
No it was outside the public conveniences in Broadstairs! In a raised bed with Valerian and grasses. I was very taken with it and believe it to be common sea lavender. Rather lovely but not the sort used by florists as far as I know.
It is lovely, there are carpets of it growing wild on the marshes near where my son lives.
I bet that is a sight to behold. Lovely
