Calamagrostis x acutiflora Karl Foerster, golden light, hydrangea arborescens Annabelle, Hydrangea paniculata limelight, in a vase on Monday, January, Miscanthus sinensis, pine cones, Verbena bonariensis
The overhead lighting is casting a rather yellow light over today’s collection of seed and flower heads.
There is a crispness to their texture and a fragility which requires a very light touch.
The fluff of the seed heads of the Miscanthus are so delicate, light as a feather, perfect for catching a breeze and dispersing.
The pine cones are from my friends garden from her so called 100 acre wood tree. The tiny flower is from the Hydrangea arborescens Annabelle. The metal pot with holes is from a shop in Suffolk and I thought it might make a rather good pot for a cactus or succulent.
What can you find in your garden to share this Monday? See Cathy’s blog. Cathy hosts this immensely enjoyable and popular post.
Just the tonic for a Monday. D.
Great arrangement and photography….nice shadows.
It may be a brown vase, but it it is carefully thought out and perfectly put together. So delicate too – the miscanthus is wonderful and the tiny hydrangea floret is a nice touch. Good to have you back – what did you so about restarting your blog in the end?
Thanks Cathy. In the end I deleted lots of photos and paid for a personal plan. Cheaper than the premium price. I shall have to condense my file sizes to keep within the boundaries.
Good to know that you managed to get the blog back, even though you had the inconvenience of deleting photos. Once you are in the routine of reducing photo sizes it will become second nature
Thank you and thanks for your help Cathy
You are most welcome
Fluffy and lovely!
Thank you
Well, this goes to show that there is always something (to be found out in the garden).
Wonderful lighting and winter textures. Glad you are back.
Ah thank you, most kind
Oh some flowers and foliage die so gracefully and deserve showcasing. That miscanthus is fabulous.
